WHO I WORK WITH

I offer individual therapy for children, teens, and adults. Whether you're navigating big emotions, adjusting to life changes, or seeking support with long-standing patterns, I create a space that’s grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration—tailored to your stage of life and unique needs.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (CBT)

CBT is a widely researched and effective approach used to support concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, and more. It’s based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are deeply connected—and that by exploring and reshaping our thought patterns, we can create meaningful change in how we feel and respond.

EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING (EMDR)

EMDR is a body-based, evidence-supported approach often used to treat trauma, PTSD, grief, anxiety, and depression. It helps the brain process distressing memories in a way that reduces emotional intensity and promotes healing.

During a session, clients are guided to bring attention to a difficult memory while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones). This process helps the brain create new, healthier associations with past experiences—replacing distress with more adaptive thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.

EMDR is not about forgetting the past, but about feeling less stuck in it.

ATTACHMENT-BASED THERAPY

Attachment theory helps us understand how early relationships shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. Through this lens, we explore how past experiences may have influenced the beliefs you hold about connection, safety, and self-worth.

In therapy, I use an attachment-informed approach to gently uncover the roots of negative core beliefs and relational patterns—helping you move toward more secure, compassionate ways of relating to both yourself and others.

EXPOSURE WITH RESPONSE PREVENTION (ERP)

ERP is a gold-standard treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and phobias. It helps individuals gradually face the thoughts, images, or situations that cause anxiety—while resisting the urge to engage in the usual coping behaviours (like compulsions or avoidance).

By gently confronting fears in a structured and supported way, ERP teaches the brain that anxiety can rise and fall on its own—without needing to be “fixed” or avoided. Over time, this helps reduce fear and regain a sense of control.
